
Something new in the category »after the third person asked me about it, i have to write a blogpost«. So here are some of the most basic git commands.
Get the newest stuff from a remote repository (e.g. github):
git clone --recursive https://github.com/DerZyklop/der-zyklop.de.git
Get the newest changes
git pull
Check the status of your local git project
git status
Forget the recent changes of my local files
git checkout -- .
Reserve changes in a specific file for my next commit
git add app/views/documentsDetail.coffee
Commit the reserved files with a commit message
git commit -m "Messed up everything."
Push it back into the remote repo
git push
